Does Miley Want to Be Like Britney?

At the 2009 Teen Choice Awards, Miley Cyrus was happy to present Britney Spears with the Ultimate Choice Award. Miley has said in several previous interviews that her family knows the Spears family, and that they are friends. When asked on the green grass carpet about Britney and if she was friends with her, Miley said that she is a family friend and she wants to show people that even though Brit is back, she never went anywhere. Miley commented on how successful Britney's music is, even saying that she's proud of Mizz Spears. Miley also noted that Britney is a country girl at root just like her, so she likes that she can relate in that way. After the awards, someone tweeted to Miley saying that she was great, but why does she admire Britney so much. Miley fired back, tweeting ,"when you've gone through all the she has and walk in to an arena with your head up high and they STILL chant your name??" Looks like Miley loves how Britney managed to get through her troubles and still come out and blow everyone away with her talent. Miley also tweeted,"For all the people calling me the "next Britney" THANK U. I couldn't ask for a better compliment :)" So, this one is true everyone, in a very positive way!

Did Jesse McCartney Get Struck By Lightning?

Twenty-two year old Jesse McCartney didn't get hit by lightning himself, but the bus he was riding in did, and Jesse witnessed it all. He was driving with his band on a tour bus through Dallas, Texas, while sitting in the front next to the driver. After the incident, Jesse tweeted, "Okay. You ready? I got struck by Lightning tonight! Driving thru a huge storm in Dallas my Bus was hit knocking us to the side of the road! It fried the transmission and computers! I sat up front so I actually saw the flash and then the piercing BANG! Gotta fly to the next city!" WOW! Some adventure! At least nobody got hurt, and now Jesse can use it as a funny touring experience.

The Dakota Fanning New Moon Poster Has Been Leaked?

When a very authentic-looking New Moon poster with Dakota Fanning (who will play Jane in NM) on it started circulating on the internet, people thought it was real. Well, it turns out it was just a photoshopped picture of Dakota, made by some prankster! The actual picture was just a photo from when Dakota modeled for The Gap, but with a little bit of editing, the poster looked very real! Sorry, Twilighters!

Ashley Tisdale, Extreme Makeover?

Lately, Ashley Tisdale has the media going crazy! Her new tattoo (article in More Gossip) has people asking tons of questions, and recently, Ash found another way to change up her look, by revealing her dark hair with a new hair-do with long side bangs! But, CelebGossip isn't talking about a physical makeover...Ashley is scheduled to make an appearance on the ABC show Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. The always helpful and caring Ashley is going to help Ty Pennington (of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition) and the rest of his crew build a dream house for a Missouri family in need. The family took in their nieces and nephews after a family tragedy and are now living in a one bedroom, one bathroom cottage. The show is going to make their life style easier and more convenient for their family. Doing a good deed is a great way for celebs to show how down to earth they are. Way to go Ash!!!

Did Joe Diss Taylor in Front of His Fans?

This one is true! After Joe and Tay's very public break up, things have been rocky between them. Taylor opened up about being dumped by Joe over the phone. She wrote the song "Forever and Always" about it. Joe recently wrote a song about the break up, too. It's called "Much Better" and is on the album Lines, Vines, and Trying Times. At a recent concert, Joe changed the lyrics, "now I'm done with super stars" to, "now I'm done with COUNTRY stars" . As if it wasn't already obvious who the song was about, this confirmed it! Ouch!
